The hydraulic system calculator is an intuitive tool for people who work with hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors and piping. This application allows the design of individual hydraulic components around single-acting or double-acting cylinders. A user can examine the formulas involved and switch to their preferred units.
Features at a glance:
- By entering the required cylinder dimensions and parameters such as pressure and oil flow, the user would be able to calculate the areas and volumes in the cylinder, extraction and retraction forces, speed, time, flow rate and ratio. The output is derived on the piston and rod side of the cylinder
- A backward compatibility is also provided on some of the parameters (force, time and speed) in the cylinder area to provide users with the extension of using the calculator in a more user-friendly environment.
- The application allows the calculation of flow, pressure, displacement, speed, torque and power in the Engine section
- The application allows the calculation of displacement, flow, electric motor power and total efficiency in the Pump section
- The app can be used to calculate the pressure drop around an orifice
- Piping parameters such as velocity, cross-sectional area and number of reynolds can be calculated using absolute or kinematic viscosity
- Calculations can be performed in metric or imperial units
- The data provided complies with ISO 3320, ISO 3321 and ISO 4393 in the cylinder section
- Calculator is created to dynamically update results as per user keys in values
- Input and output values can be displayed in preferred subunits according to user needs after the calculation is performed. It also helps the user to make specific changes in units before calculations
